Maruti Ertiga: An ideal LUV

Pros : great space, good mileage, affordable price, value for money

Cons : average safety features, average appearance, little power

Last month got the Maruti Ertiga LDI at Rs. 7.30 lakh which is a base variant of the diesel model. After dove around one month the noted some facts about this basic diesel model by me are given below:-

*As a seven seater MPV its power is little than other large MPVS, although mileage is good. The offered 1.3L DDiS diesel is good to a hatchback and sedan but not for an MPV. Before I have driven the Innova and Xylo but these have tremendous power leave the mileage issue. My Ertiga LDI offers around 16 kmpl in city areas and 18 kmpl on open roads.

* The offered features like Power & Tilt Steering, Air Conditioner with Heater, Engine Immobilizer, Remote Trunk/Boot Opener etc good but there is no power window, fog lights keyless entry, music system etc. accessory features. In terms of features the LDI can be called fully basic.

* In terms of interior space, boot space and performance my 100 per cent vote goes to the Ertiga. It is an ideal MPV for a big family. On these conditions the Ertiga is good option of Rio, Sumo and Bolero.

* Smooth gear shifting, Noiseless engine, No vibrations during high speed, ideal ground clearance, and large wheelbase is really amazing that makes stable the MPV on highways during high speed. Amazing pick-up and acceleration. Overall, the Ertiga LDI is excellent to my big family and I am very happy with it and the offered Maruti Ertiga price for this model seems affordable.
