MUV Ertiga – Looks good but in drive it sucks

Pros : Charismatic and fuel economical

Cons : Performance, handling and unsatisfactory comforts

I waited for a long time to become a part of Maruti Ertiga family but I did not know that after buying it I will confront many sweet and sour results of this car. I have purchased the Ertiga Ldi diesel variant which is well suited for those who travel a lot like me. I drive a lot on highways as I am one of the travel expeditors.

If you talk about the positive factors of Ertiga ldi, you can applaud this car only for few basic reasons, I.e. the charismatic outfit and great mileage of 16 km/l in city conditions and 18 km/l on highways. Though the mileage is good, but it is not exactly what the company claims.

Now let me introduce you with the actual reality of this car. This car has got totally disappointing performance. On papers it shows performance of 90 Ps maximum power and 200 Nm peak torque, but on streets you will not find any such power pumping caliber in this car. In fact, the drivability and handling of this car is not at all convincing. You would feel somewhat similar experience like Maruti Ritz. On the name of features, Ldi variant has just got AC and Power Steering. You would certainly miss other features like CD Player, ABS, Airbags and Central Locking in this car.

In my verdict, Maruti Ertiga fails to impress the buyers with variety of features, good handling and decent performance. I being the owner of this car would not speak ill about it, but as a critic I would say that the company could have blessed the base variant of this car with some additional features.
