I took the test drive of the all new Kizashi but at first sight it looked different from the one I saw at the auto show and I also got the chance to see the Kizashi’s design which Maruti has recently launched in USA and is very different from ours. It looks more sporty and stylish than ours, ours is like SX4 being redesigned and made better and for those changes they are charging exorbitant price. Its looks like Maruti has not come out of their conventional SX4 design and the headlights looks much similar but the rear adds a bit of a new taste and gives a sporty look.

I sat on the driver’s seat and the first word came out of my mind is “wow”. Space inside is enormous whether its legroom, rear or boot space you will find it comfortable in all spheres. I liked the interior quality a lot but is too similar to swift, SX4 and the feeling of new was missing. I drove it on NH8, engine is powerful and responsive and acceleration is phenomenal. Drive handling is great and despite of the big size its turning radius is relatively small. Mileage is what Maruti cars are known for and it gave me 12 with a/c on and is best in this class. After sales service is best in class and maintenance cost is too small to worry about.

Overall it’s a nice vehicle but there is a big mismatch between price and quality.
