Ritz Automatic awaited
Pros : good design, high mileage
Cons : no diesel version
I am from Chennai. I have a jewelry business here. I have been married three years ago and I currently drive the Hyundai Santro. From the last couple of months I have been thinking to purchase a new car as my wife also needs a separate car for herself. The need of a new car forced me to do some research so that I am able to buy a good car. I also want the car to have an automatic transmission with all the other necessary demands like comfort, power and style. My research gave me information about many interesting cars. Out of them I have short listed the Maruti Suzuki Ritz Automatic.
The car has just launched and is so fresh that the company has not yet revealed its price. The car has been launched only in the petrol variant and it has the automatic transmission only in the highest version the VXI. The automatic transmission is a four speed and is mated with the company’s popular K series 1.2 litre engine. The reason of the company launching the car with the automatic transmission is the rise in the demand of cars with automatic transmission in the Indian car market. Another attractive feature about this car is the mileage that it is able to give.
As per the reports, the powerful car is able to give a mileage of 17.5 km per litre that too when the car is driven on petrol and it is a car with automatic transmission. The cars with automatic transmission are normally supposed to give out a low mileage as compared to the mileage given by the cars with the manual transmission. Since it is an entry level car with automatic transmission, more and more people are getting inclined towards it more than the Maruti Swift. Both these cars are designed on the same platform of a tall boy design. This design is getting more popular these days amongst the compact cars. With the launch of this car, the company Maruti will be having a total of 6 cars with automatic transmission in its stable.
If I believe what the experts say then car will not be able to pull large volumes of customers as the car is only available in petrol version. If the car would have been launched in the diesel version as well then the story would have been very different. I also agree with them on this point as I personally feel the lack of a diesel version in the car.
