The lovable Maruti Ritz

Maruti Ritz is a nice hatchback for people who prefer simple and sober looks and performance oriented cars. It has been over 8 months since I bought Maruti Ritz ZXI petrol variant and have been enjoying the performance and the comfort since. My wife loved this car and she forced me to buy Ritz only. So I did as she wanted and went for Maruti Ritz. I won’t say that it is the best hatchback car, but it is a nice car to own.

Maruti Ritz has a 1200cc engine same as Maruti Swift. The ride quality is smooth, acceleration is good and you don’t feel the lack of power. The handling is superb, and the car is a A+ on road.

Maruti Ritz is not a charmer, at least not for me. I think the styling has been done keeping in mind the people in their 40s, 50s or 60s. The looks are not aggressive to gain attention of youth. It certainly lacks the punch to attract young people. But the looks are decent and quite different from other Maruti cars. The rear lamps are the main attraction for me. The headlamps are almost like Maruti Zen Estillo.

Maruti Ritz has good interiors, and this thing make up for the unaggressive looks of the car on the outside. The interiors are well designed, offer great comfort, provide with utilities and are spacious. The dashboard is quite sporty with the rpm meter on the top of the dashboard. The ZXI variant comes with nice audio system and the overall comfort level for the passengers is worth mentioning.

Maruti Ritz is a nice experience for everyone who sits in it. It may not be a real charmer but once you get in the car you forget about everything else. After all, it is all about performance.
