SX4 ZXI AT -Good Hunky car to go with

Pros : Comfortable interiors, responsive engine and excellent performer

Cons : Looks, probably could have been improved & mileage

Hi there, I am Sudarshan Shinde from Nagpur. I was looking for a sedan in the price range of 7-9 lakh and was advised by a close friend that why don’t you try the new Maruti Suzuki SX4 (Actually in 2008, it was a newly launched). Reading a few reviews and seeing a few of them in my locality I decided to buy the vehicle. It has been around four years since my purchase and every time I look at the car I feel I did one of the wisest things in my life to choose the Maruti SX4 ZXI AT variant.

The looks are somewhat down but not out. I love the rear end of the Sx4 which is just phenomenal with raised stance thereby giving massive boot space. In the inside as well, the car just charms me with its good comfortable seating and balanced steering which can be adjusted according to the driver. The plastic quality used inside the cabin is better than in Swift or Dzire as I have driven them also in the past.

It’s a perfect sedan for city maneuvering and for speeding on highways. The ride and handling of the car is superb with good turning angle making it easy to cut the traffic in Nagpur. The automatic transmission freely works in tandem with the engine giving me a hassle free ride. But one thing has disappointed me is that the mileage of the Maruti SX4 ZXI AT is not good. It delivers just around 11-12 kmpl overall which I think should be around 15 kmpl to make it ideal for Indian buyers.

Nevertheless, the service station people at Maruti are excellent in our area and they keep me guiding on how to drive effectively to get good mileage and there are not only one but 3-4 service station in our city only. Lastly, I would recommend viewers to go for this hunky monster as it’s a paisa vasool car.
