A much famous car lost out its reputation with due course of time
Pros : Decent looks, good mileage, low turning radius, easy to drive and very good at handling even at exceptionally high speeds
Cons : Suspension requires rework, boring outdated looks and it’s a car of 19th century Maruti is trying to sell in the 21st century
I have been driving Maruti’s Zen for over a year now. It’s a very good car and carries all the aspects that a Maruti car is well known for. I bought it keeping in mind the brand reputation and it’s long tested history. A very good car which offers mileage which is highest in its segment, close to 18 km/ltr and is very easy to drive especially when I drive it in city I feel great. Handling is awesome all the times however looks are not in accordance with the old model and should be improved to get the lost reputation back.
I have a family of four and usually on weekends we like to go on long drives and I prefer to carry my Zen; good at mileage, easy to drive with ample space inside to carry four passengers comfortably with a/c which runs high and makes the drive very relaxed even in summers it chills the car in 4 or 5 minutes. I drove it on almost all kind of terrains and now the suspensions are giving me hard time though they worked well till now, I don’t know what happened to them all of a sudden.
Maintenance cost is very less and after sales service is good enough. I will rate it 7 out of 10. It’s a nice vehicle but seems outdated in comparison to i-10, Santro, Spark and Eon. A once well known product has now lost out its value and reputation in the eyes of customers just because of the company’s inefficiency of amending it as per the modern customer requirements.
