Renault Fluence (Advent of modern French engineering in India)
Pros : The French feel of class, comfort, luxury and stunning driving capabilities
Cons : Color range limited in India, sunroof not available and the car is slow on pick up
I consider myself among one of the lucky ones who take proud in owing one the finest sedan that the Indian automobile industry has ever witnessed. Sit back, relax and enjoy the smooth fluent ride. Armrest, bottle holder, sunshades and space for legs make life so much easier on a long journey. As a driver, the gorgeous seats, headrests, and firm feel of the steering wheel just beckon for a long and leisure cruise.
I took my new Renault Fluence out on a long drive for the first time. I gave accelerator and I found Initial pick up is just ok till the time I was in lower gears, once I crossed 60 km on speedometer then there was nothing to complain about. Overall fuel economy achieved is 21 kmpl on a trip of close to 220 kms. I hope it will increase after 1st service. Gear box is good and the clutch is very soft to operate and gave me a cheesy feeling. Excellent ride quality and is very soft to handle at low speeds, it turns and moves like a leopard catching its prey.
The only thing I am worried about is the after sales service as the company doesn’t have much of the service centers and is new in the Indian car market but I don’t take it as a potential threat to my choice. Being a car of 15 lac segment, it is not easy to challenge Fluence’s autocracy; it is the only refreshing face Indian car market witnessed this year and with its fuel economy and lower maintenance costs it can do marvels in our economy of ever increasing fuel prices.

The Renault Fluence price in India starts at Rs 13.60 lakh and it is expected that Renault will be lowering the price of the new Fluence.

Can you please give me an idea about how much you are charged for a service and what are the other maintenance costs? Are it's spare parts expensive?

Replyyou are a lucky lot. The new Renault Fluence Diesel is one of the most nice car.it is in stark contrast to some of the sharply styled cars that are in Indian auto market.it is more than Mahindra cars.it is available in two engine options petrol and diesel.
