Skoda Fabia Scout – exceptional hatchback but too expensive
Pros : High ground clearance, good suspension, powerful engine, flawless safety features
Cons : some petty issues –torque is low, second gear is bad, looks too squarish in shape, High price
Skoda Fabia Scout 1.2 litre diesel hatchback churns out 75bhp power, has a sturdy build and roomy, quality interiors. It has been tagged at a whopping high price of Rs. 8+ Lakhs. It has some mind boggling features that one witness only in some C class segment cars. You get a ride as if you are in a sports car. It never scrapes the ground, blame it on its high waistline, ground clearance and flawless suspension. ABS and Brake assist features works flawlessly too and there are dual airbags. 300L of boot space is class leading.
There is one more exceptional feature in this hatchback. All the windows can be raised or closed by a single key while locking the car. This is so convenient specially while leaving the car in parking or elsewhere. Diesel engine is same as that of Volkswagen Polo and since Fabia has also existed in Europe for over a decade, it is definitely a car that is an on-looker.
There are some petty issues with Skoda Fabia diesel variant also like the gear ratio doesn’t seem alright and one has to bear with low torque engine but that’s pretty okay especially because these are trivial things against so many privileges that it offers. On the whole, if you are not concerned with price, running cost, maintenance, after sales service and resale value of Fabia, it is an excellent car indeed.
