Smart looking, but old fashioned car

Pros : exterior looks

Cons : old fashioned interiors and technology

Tata Sumo Grande is a very well designed car, with looks of a concept car. It looks compact and advanced. The feel it carries is really to the Indian roads. I like this MUV a lot.

Exetrior: The exterior of this MUV is its usp. Tata Sumo Grande looks amazing and catches the attention of people instantly. The big look, the awesome features, the turn indicators on rear view mirrors, everything is really good and elegant about it.

Interior: The interiors have not been improved from the older version of Sumo. Seats look old fashioned, and the upholstery used is not at all good or of quality. The instrument panel is another example of failure. Tata should have improved these things and the MUV would have been a hit. However the space available for pessngers is good. But there is not boot space. If you have to carry bags or luggage, you'd have to get a roof rail installed on it.

Engine: The engine of Tata Sumo Grande is just okay. The engine is 2200 cc. It has decent power. It is not good enough for off road puposes though. The mileage it returns is fair enough.

Overall: The Sumo Grande is a fail in Indian Market. It failed to live up to the expectations. The main reason can be the same name Tata sticked to. If they had changed the name from Sumo to something else, this MUV could have worked. Another reason is the old fashioned interiors this MUV offers. However, the price is really good. Tata has worked to keep it as low as possible to make pocket friendly for the people of India. Overall, this is now gone. There are a lot better MUVs available in the market, in the same price range. Those MUVs beat this out easily.
