Tata’s challenge to increasing fuel prices
Pros : Good fuel economy, comfortable interiors, good value for money
Cons : Quality of plastic in some areas, steering wheel design, rear design
I took test drive of new product from Tata’s outlet and at first glance I was not able to find any new exciting quality in it. All the products from Tata including the small hatchback and the mid size sedans look pretty same on the front and the only car which fascinates me is Tata safari however we are talking about sedans here the rear side of Manza is a real disappointing aspect, it really looks awkward. Interiors are no good and are all common to find in all the cars of the same segment and have nothing new to create appeal.
Mileage is the one of the characteristic which really attracted me and it’s a figure I was astound to imagine from a sedan to give it is whooping 46.23 kilometers on diesel, quite difficult to believe isn’t it but its true and applicable only in perfect driving conditions which is very difficult to find in our country however car still manages to give 28 to 30 kilometers which is still awesome in our economy of ever increasing and roaring fuel prices. Maintenance is again low so overall it’s easy on pocket and durable to handle and provides the win win situation for buyers. I don’t have much of the experience of Tata’s after sales service but I still assume it to be good.
Rear design must be improved, sedan style door should be added to rear doors which are still in hatch back design of vista, plastic quality in some areas must be improved, it is improved in new versions, panel gaps, fittings and finishing should be refined. If I broader my horizon and see it as a potential money saver than it’s still a car of choice.
