Tata Nano Diesel coming your way

Pros : Good looks, nice fuel efficiency, lowest turning radius, high ground clearance, best city wagon and a great vehicle for small families that are going to purchase their first car

Cons : Inferior quality of material used to build exteriors and interiors, upholstery used is cheap, ineffective suspension, and very small tyres not equipped well to bear our tough roads

My daily ride is close to 35 kms and I am looking forward to buy my first car. I want to for a diesel one and my budget for my first car is very limited. I was considering my options and then I got to know about the Tata’s plans to launch the diesel version of Nano. I like the car as it’s the cheapest car available and the performance of the car is pretty satisfactory. As my whole ride encompasses city traffic so it would be an added advantage for me to own a small car. I know small car bears lowest turning radius and offers relatively high ground clearance.

I took test drive of the available petrol model to get an insight and am very satisfied with the performance. Car is pretty powerful and riding with full capacity is not a problem. Space inside is good enough and 5 people can easily travel for shorter distances. Mileage is great and it will further improve with diesel engine however there are some areas where car lacks taste, suspension is hard and stiff, tyres are small, upholstery lacks quality, material is fragile and not very good, safety features are not available and last but not the least if you meet accident then I don’t think it will save you but for city driving it’s a complete package and not at all for highway driving, so better evaluate your requirements form the car first. I booked my Nano and waiting eagerly for the delivery
