Strong vehicle for tough conditions

Pros : Spacious interiors, powerful engine, extremely comfortable seats, power steering makes it a nice to drive, ample boot space and is a strong hulk to go wild on long drives

Cons : Average boring looks, weak suspension, plastic used to build interiors is tacky, high maintenance cost and is difficult to handle at speeds above 100

I own a travel agency in Nagpur and I have 3 Tata Sumo Victa’s. I purchased my first Sumo around 18 months back and used it heavily. Strong rugged vehicle assured me of the high build in quality and I purchased 2 more, all of my Sumo’s always remain in transit and never disappointed me on road, truly speaking as the very name suggests it’s really a hulk always ready to serve. I was about to buy a personal car but my wife suggested me to modify one of my Sumo to fit my family specifications well.

Recently I took my modified Sumo with my family on a long journey of close to 6000 kms and we completed tour very comfortably without a glitch. My kids don’t like the exteriors of the car much but they have started liking its soothing interiors now. Price of the car is very reasonable and now for youngsters Tata has all new Grande in place too. Spares are easily available and after sales service is good enough however sometimes I push hard to make them understand the problem areas but overall it’s nice.

It’s been long now and I wish that company should make some amendments in order to make it more attractive and smart. There are some areas like suspension, Interiors, brakes and styling if improved will truly make it a complete package but is still adoring and lovely. Sumo is a real sumo and its drive is rocking.
