A stylish elegant looking classy vehicle

Pros : Stylish yet elegant looks, smooth sleek design, paint quality and finishing is amazing, smart simple but classy interiors, ample space in front, rear and boot and is made well to provide 7 star luxury

Cons : Ground clearance is a big problem with Volkswagen vehicles and they all bear high maintenance cost

I am driving Passat for over a year now and before that I had Skoda Laura which is also an amazing vehicle but the European engineering over passed Skoda and I exchanged it with Passat. Talking about Passat, it’s a very elegant looking vehicle with very fine finishing and style but at the same time it offers simple classy interiors however a simple interior design doesn’t fit well to the expectations of Indian customers who will shed a huge amount for it but as per Volkswagen beauty lies in simplicity and is a characteristic feature of all their vehicles.

Engine is very powerful and pick up is exceptionally great. Ride handling is very smooth and it turns like rocket, braking system is marvelous and one thing which impresses me a lot is the turning radius despite of the big size it is so small. Suspensions are good enough but require relook for making it more soothing to bumpy, muddy, dusty and potholed Indian roads. Tyre grip over the road is amazing and at speeds of 150 it remains in control and turns in just a flick of a finger.

Maintenance cost is slightly high and after sales service needs a bit of improvement. Spares are priced high too but as per company they are rugged enough to run 1 to 1.2 lac kms which is yet to be seen.

Overall it’s a nice vehicle and my family loves to go on long drive in my lovely adoring vehicle. PASSAT ROCKS!!!!
