Volkswagen Vento – German power in my hands

Pros : Power boosted and fully loaded

Cons : Mileage not up to the expectations

 I am one of those, who love to smash the German cars. Last year, I bought the German luxury power machine, the Volkswagen Vento Petrol Highline. Describing the power of this mean machine is the difficult task to do. Even then, I would like to start with the engine of my car. It has got the 1.6 liter petrol engine that stands apart from other usual sedans like Honda City, Toyota Etios and Tata Manza. The only problem I find with this car is of its so-so fuel efficiency. Prior to purchase I was been told by the dealer that it has got mileage of around 13 – 17 kmpl, but practical mileage it gives currently is not more than 12 kmpl.  Yes, the road visibility is pretty good and the road grip is also commendable.

My car has got interiors like premium Volkswagen sedan, but the rear seat is not much comfortable from the back side. If you love to drive powerful cars, I think that Vento is a good option to go with, but yes somewhere it lacks comforts like the other Volkswagen cars.

As far as the features are concerned, I would give 10 on 10 to Volkswagen Vento. For my safety, this car has got features like two airbags for front passengers, Anti-lock Braking System, EBD and Central Locking and for maximum convenience and entertainment it is blessed with features like Music system with USB, AC, Power Steering, All four power windows, adjustable seats etc.

I think that the diesel variant of this car should be a better choice to go with because it not only has good features, but also it has got great fuel efficiency. I would wish good luck to all those who plan to buy Vento and I expect that the company would soon introduce some better petrol variants of this car.
