2013 Honda CRV launch confirmed, coming next month
The month of love will bring good news for Honda fans as well. Honda India has been planning to bring in its first car this year. 2013 Honda CRV is likely to hit the Indian shores in Feb, 2013 this year. The Euro-Spec model could be seen in India. To keep a check on the price, the new crossover might be assembled via CKD route. On the other hand, a bad news comes along. The new 2013 Honda CR-V shall be released with petrol engine options only, so diesel car lovers will have to keep their cool here.

The Indian spec CR-V crossover might get powered by two engine, 2.0 litre i-VTEC and 2.4 litre i-VTEC motors. However, globally, the car has been powered by 1.6 litre i-DTEC and 2.2 litre i-DTEC turbo diesel engines. To improve the performance the car is expected in an all-wheel drive variant as well, making it cooler and much more happening. The 5-Speed automatic gearbox option will also be there as an option. Sadly the price will be on a much higher side and is expected to land around Rs. 20 lakh.
Coming to Honda Brio hatchback, it passed with flying colors in Indonesia. It has been doing an inspiring business over there. Also, Honda Indonesia has been successful in selling 8000 units of Brio in merely 5 months. Brio has been powered by 1.3 litre i-VTEC petrol engine that churns out 99BHP of power output with 127 Nm of maximum torque. Nevertheless, the company is offering both 5-speed automatic and manual gearbox option making it much more viable while the safety options like ABS, EBD, BA and airbags add more charm to it. Honda sells this cute hatchback in many countries comprising of South Africa and Thailand as well.
