Chevrolet Spark to launch in US soon

General Motors is soon to enter the US with a new car – the 2013 Chevrolet Spark. The car has been promised to be a low cost high on fuel efficiency car excellent for city driving. The launch is important at a time when the fuel prices have gone to unprecedented levels. Also, the car is expected to create much discomfort for Fiat 500 and Scion iQ besides Smart ForTwo small cars available in US. The Chevrolet Spark is the improved version of Chevrolet Beat that is available in India. The Chevrolet Beat Diesel has collected some never heard numbers on the sales chart and has improved the overall sales of the American car maker in India. Now it will be a test of time for Chevrolet Spark in US.

Expected to be priced around $12,995 (Rs 6.62 lakh in Indian rupees), the small car Spark will certainly woo the families who wish to have a small car for their city needs. A peppy engine, lots of airbags here and there and seating for five and the availability of rear door and last but not the least a 40 mpg mileage are what will be the unique selling propositions for the Chevy Spark in US. With such features the Spark is expected to get on with well and alike India where it had given a tough fight to segment players such as Maruti Swift, Tata Indica, Skoda Fabia, Volkswagen Polo and Ford Figo, it will also perform well in US.   

There is also an array of feature that the US models will have. These include leatherette seats, 10 air bags, ABS, ac, power windows, 15 incher alloys, heating system for seats, leather wrapped steering and a sporty appearance will also conjure to make it a small car with sporty nature.
