Chevrolet Spark VS Hyundai Eon and Maruti Alto 800

The competition in the small car segment is all set to get even more fierce with leading car makers rolling-out their new age cars in India. Now coming to the competition point of view, while the existing model of Spark has not been able to pose any significant threat to the supremacy of Alto 800, the new Spark is likely to be more competitive in terms of both features and pricing. Looking to turn around the fortune of Spark in India, General Motors is likely to keep the price tag highly competitive along with never before features like dual tone front and rear bumpers and wing inspired instrument cluster. Spark is equipped with more powerful 1.0L (63 PS) engine in comparison to Alto 800’s 0.8L (48 PS) engine.

On the other hand, the superbly crafted with fluidic design, the Hyundai Eon appears to be a very tough competitor of Spark in terms of both looks and features. Now the only fronts where Spark has scope of beating Eon is the engine performance and pricing, which are considerable factors in the price and mileage conscious Indian market. In comparison to Eon’s 814 cc (59 PS) power train, The Chevrolet Spark has 1.0L (63 PS), which is no doubt a better performing engine.
