Power and Performance:
Jeep Compass launched in both petrol and diesel options. The petrol version runs on a 1.4L Multiair engine that delivers the power of 160 hp and peak torque of 250Nm. While, the diesel version completes its duty with a 2.0L MultiJet II Turbo engine, which produces power output of 170hp/350Nm. The car is equipped with a 6-speed manual and an optional 7-speed DDCT automatic transmission system for effortless driving. On the other hand, Mahindra XUV 500 runs on a 2.2L mHawk diesel engine which is capable to supply power of 140 bhp and peak torque of 330 Nm, mated with 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox.
Exteriors:
Jeep launched the Compass SUV with projector headlamps with LED DRLs, fog lamps, 16-inch alloy wheels, power adjustable ORVM with turn indicators, sloping rooflines and LED tail lamps that make it outstanding from outside. While, the Mahindra XUV 500 comes with bold and stylish front grille, LED DRL projector headlamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, unique paw styled door handles and many others that make the car different from others.
Interiors:
Inside the cabin, the new Jeep Compass has a leather wrapped multifunctional steering wheel, dual-zone AC, leaher upholstery, 7-inch infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. For the entertaining journey, the company placed 6-speakers with quality sound. India bound Jeep Compass comes with 50+ safety features including hill start assist, adaptive brake lights, ABS with EBD and 6-airbag safety for all its occupants. While, in the XUV 500, you will find a infotainment touchscreen which provide easy access to navigation, calls, emergency call system and many more.
Price:
The Mahindra XUV 500 available in India under the price range of Rs. 12.2 – 18.6 Lac ex-showroom while the Jeep Compass price ranges in between Rs. 14.95 – 20.65 Lac ex-showroom.
