News regarding the installation of the FASTag device on your vehicle has been in the air for the last six months. The new process of paying the toll tax through Fastag is proposed to commence from December 1, 2019. The vehicles not having the FASTag device installed on their vehicle will be required to pay the double amount of the toll tax before crossing any toll plaza.

The main documents required for buying the FASTag include the copy of the Registration Certificate of your vehicle, KYC documents consisting of passport size photo of the vehicle owner, ID proof and address proof including PAN Card/Driving License/Passport/Voter ID/Aadhaar Card.
It should be remembered that the FASTag will be issued to the vehicle owners only after the verification of the original documents, therefore do not forget to carry the original copy of these documents. After approval of the documents, the representative of the issuing authority will install the FASTag on the windshield of your vehicle. To buy the FASTag you can also send any of your documents with the original and the Photostat copy of the required documents.
The FASTag can be purchased online and also from various banks, Amazon, PayTm. If you are purchasing the FASTag online, then it will be delivered at the address referred in your application within the span of determined time. Finally, the last but not the least, make sure that after installation the FASTag is not replaced from its actual position.
