Well in continuation to our last blog entitled Know A To Z Terminologies Of Your Car Before You Buy It: Part 12, in which we discussed terms associated with “M” today also we shall be focusing on few more terms related with “M” and “N” alphabets.

 

1. MPV: Also referred as Multi-Purpose Vehicle, are small cars which fall in category of compact cars bridging the gap between compact cars and large MPVs. Sometimes these cars also referred as “Space Wagon”. The use of term MPV came into existence almost two decades back in 1996 when the MPV was developed by French car maker Renault and which was named as Renault Scenic. However, the roots of same were sown back in 1982 by Japanese car maker Nissan which launched Prairie carrying features similar to offered in MPV.

 

 

2. Multi-Port Fuel Injection: Sometimes even called as Multi Point Fuel Injection system, the main objective of this injection system is to distribute fuel directly into each port by making use of separate injectors. Depending upon the type of variant this injection system in installed in each vehicle. Vehicles empowered with diesel engine make use of fuel injection system, whereas petrol engine empowered vehicles make use of gasoline direct injection system delivering fuel directly into combustion chamber.

 

 

3. Multi-Link Suspension:  Multi-link suspension system may be defined as an independent suspension system that makes use of various longitudinal arms.
