Maruti and other car makers doing whatever they can to splurge their cars over others. In this attempt, India’s largest car maker Maruti has launched the special edition of its small car Maruti Alto K10. The special edition is known as the Alto K10 KnightRacer and comes as a pack of 11 features that cost around Rs 13490. The addition of this styling and other features pack is available on all models of the Alto K10. Notably, this is the second special edition launch after the recent launch of Maruti A Star special edition. It is believed that the car maker is soon to launch another special edition of Maruti Wagon R and Maruti Swift as well.

The features of the KnightRacer pack include body decals, new wheel covers, new side moldings, left ORVM and spoiler at the rear apart from a total facelift of the interiors. The interiors get new fabric for the seats, JVC company MP3 that has USB connectivity, special ergonomic steering cover as well. Critics say that the special edition is a way to improve sales after the loss the car has received due to the launch of the Maruti Alto 800. It is said that the sales of Alto K 10 slid drastically as people are getting much improved looks, features and mileage from the new car Alto 800.

Other critics are of the opinion that the special edition of Alto K10 is an attempt to keep the interest on in December which is said to be a sad period for car makers. It is believed that the special edition KnightRacer package at so affordable price will be setting a new interest among car buyers and it will revive Alto K10 sales in this month. In addition to this, the December offer on Maruti cars is also on.
