Maruti Ritz AT is available in VXi trim only, the AT version is stuffed with all the features embedded in the VXi manual trim. The 1.2 litre engine engenders 86 BHP of power along with 113 Nm of torque. The gasoline engine is synchronized to a four speed auto gearbox. With a certified fuel economy of 17.16 kmpl by ARAI, Maruti Ritz AT is one of the most frugal automatic hatchbacks running on Indian roads. The new AT version flaunts all the prominent changes that the upgraded Ritz has been bestowed with; this includes the all new front end and tweaked interiors. The all new Maruti Ritz AT will lock horns with contemporaries like Honda Brio AT, Hyundai i10 AT and Hyundai i20 AT.

When juxtaposed its rivals, the new Maruti Ritz Automatic has been tagged smartly by MSI, making it a viable choice for those looking for a small car affixed with auto gears. On the other hand the Ritz manual gearbox comes equipped with a five speed transmission and is proffered with two engine options which include the 1.2 litre K-Series engine and the fiat sourced 1.3 litre Multijet turbo diesel motor. Ritz diesel is the highest selling trim in the variant line up, an obvious reason behind its immense success is the fact that diesel cars have gained demand ever since the hike in the petrol price. However, Ritz has been placed a notch lower in comparison to Maruti Suzuki India’s ace hatchback Maruti Swift both in terms of price and positioning. Maruti Ritz has finally managed to make a mark in the B+ segment and with the launch of the new Ritz Automatic; it is surely going to reach new heights.

I found the Ritz to be extremely spacious and functional in all aspects of being a small yet powerful hatch
