New Cars in India on 18th October

Numerous car companies are pouring their launches during the Dusshera-Diwali festive season and amongst so these firms, Honda Motors is also present. Honda Motors India isn’t lagging behind in the festive season and is set to launch the automatic variant of its Honda Brio hatchback. The new Honda Brio Automatic hatchback will be rolled out in the Indian car bazaar on 18th of October 2012. This one will be powered by 1.2 litre of i-VTEC petrol engine that will churn out 90BHP of peak power and 110Nm of peak torque. The major highlight of this variant would be the five speed automatic transmission, which would give other hatchbacks like Maruti A Star, Hyundai i20 and Hyundai i10 a run for their money.

This new five speed automatic torque converter coupled with the engine is slightly heavier as compared to the more fuel economic CVT automatic transmission. But this one manages to keep the price tag of the car under control and make it pretty competitive in the market. According to the fresh reports, the price of Honda Brio Automatic will be Rs. 60000 more than the manual gearbox variant of the hatchback. The new Honda Brio Automatic gearbox has been taken from Honda City, although the gear ratios have been tweaked accordingly.  Apparently, this new variant of Brio will be able to deliver a decent mileage of 16.5kmpl.

 
Rolling out the Honda Brio Automatic hatchback during the festive season this year is just perfect. Apparently, in 2013, the company is planning to launch a compact sedan that would be based on Honda Brio. On the other hand, a diesel variant of the hatchback could also be expected sometime soon, which will surely help the car maker in capturing a much larger chuck of market share.
