New Maruti Wagon R coming next year, Wagon R Pro launched
Maruti seems to be in a mood to compensate the loss of sales of Maruti Swift and Swift Dzire due to the lockout at Manesar plant. It seems to strengthen other models such as Maruti Wagon R in order to make sure that its dependence on the Swift and Dzire gets lowered. In this series, the car maker is reportedly in the process of making the facelift of the Wagon R and it will be launched next year. Meanwhile, in order to make the existing model worth a buy, Maruti is offering Rs 30k worth accessories at just Rs 20k with the limited edition Maruti Wagon R Pro launched today.

Both the Alto and the Wagon R were the scapegoats of the petrol price rise and then came the Manesar lockout did the rest of the damage to the country’s largest car maker. Now that things are limping back to normal at the Manesar plant and production has been partially restored, it is expected that the demand for Swift and Swift Dzire will be back to normal soon. Notably, the demand has seen a slid following to high waiting period due to no production of these cars. In addition to this, now that Wagon R is being offered at a never before price and that too at unbelievable attractive accessories at less than their worth price, it is expected that Maruti will be able to recoup the damage to sales to slightly.

Though there are a lot of models slated for the next six months to one year, one of the most important will be the new Wagon R. Currently available in LPG, CNG and petrol models, the car is not expected to give room to a diesel heart under hood due to space constraints. However, the facelift coming next year will surely make it much more attractive than the existing model. It is noteworthy that the car has received a facelift only six months ago.
