Renault Scala Automatic launch announced, price awaited
Renault India is soon going to introduce the Renault Scala Automatic variant in the Indian car market. The car is expected to hit the showrooms by the end of this month. However, when enquired about the pricing about the car, the car maker decided to be tight-lipped. But moving from manual to automatic will certainly be expensive. According to fresh reports, the automatic Renault Scala with petrol engine will be about Rs. 80000 more than the manual variant. The company will not be introducing diesel powered Scala Automatic for the time being.

With 2013 Renault Scala to be sporting CVT gearbox, it will make it the first automatic sedan in the C-Segment sedan section in the country. The CVT transmission ensures smooth, jerk-free performance. This one is close to the gearbox, which is found in automatic scooters like Suzuki Access and Honda Activa. It is a well-known fact that Scala is actually a badge engineered version of Sunny Sedan from Nissan. This means that Scala make use of the same transmissions and engine that are being used in Nissan Sunny. Globally, Nissan is steaming the car maker with its X-TRONIC CVT automatic transmission, which provides better fuel economy and refined performance.
This CVT gearbox in 2013 Renault Scala is similar the X-TRONIC one, which means the fuel economy will be touching the top spot on the chart. The new Scala Automatic will be delivering 17.97 kmpl ARAI certified mileage, which would make new Scala Automatic the most efficient automatic sedan in the C-Segment.
While we are talking about Nissan Sunny, it is quite a surprise that 2013 Renault Scala Automatic is being introduced first than Sunny Automatic; as the Scala is the rebadged version of Sunny. So far, there is no date fixed for the Nissan Sunny Automatic launch, but rumor has it that it will be launched in next few months.
