It would be important to note that the land for these charging stations was given after the selection through open bidding initiated for the allotment of land to develop the charging stations.
The electric vehicle owners coming to these stations for charging their vehicles will need to pay rupees 2 per unit. In the words of a government office, it is the lowest price for charging an electric vehicle. The government official also added that these stations are developed near metro stations where people drop their vehicles for a long journey.
The electric vehicle policy of the Delhi government focuses on developing charging stations at a distance of every three kilometres. From the data revealed by the Delhi government, at present, there are about 597 charging stations with 825 charging points and 165 battery swapping facilities.
