646 units of Renault Scala and Pulse found defective, to be recalled by car maker

It is reported that the French car maker Renault is going to recall 646 units of Pulse and Scala from Indian car market due to defective airbags installation. According to reports the recall will include both the petrol and diesel variants of both these cars including 620 units of Pulse along with 26 units of Scala. The airbags are reported to be supplied from Takata which is a renowned supplier of airbags to major car manufacturers. The defective units are reported to be manufactured at company’s production unit located in Chennai.
 
 
According to sources of company the buyers of these defective units will receive call from their respective dealers to rectify the issue. The units are reported to be manufactured during September 2011 and July 2012. The defective airbags would improved free of costs.
