A new compact SUV by Hyundai Motors in 2015
With festive season reaching at jet dynamic speed Indian car manufacturers have started making preparations to take the advantage of changing scenario. As it is known that from last couple years Indian car market is not enjoying significant growth in sales due to various economic situations. Although during last couple of months during the ongoing year situation has improved to some extent and this has inspired the auto manufacturers to come with some new products during the festive season.
It would be interested to know that during last few years compact SUV segment has witnessed sufficient growth during the last few years that almost every car maker is now speculating to add a new compact SUV in its portfolio. It is reported that Korean car maker Hyundai Motors is also speculating to join the brigade of compact SUV makers and bring a new compact SUV under its flagship sometimes during next year. Recently the Korean car maker had launched the advanced version of its existing hatchback i20 as Elite i20 in Indian car market. Prior to this the first launch by car maker during this year was Xcent the compact sedan which was showcased during the Indian Auto Expo 2014.
Commenting on the rumors of new compact SUV by company Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, said that from this year company is going to explore the segments where it lacks its present and this will be the company’s strategy for next coming years. Moving ahead Mr. Srivastava said that company will soon make its entrance in segment of compact SUVs and MPVs, because it finds huge growth potential in this sector. However he did not disclosed which vehicle would be launched first in Indian car market a compact SUV or a MPV.
