AMT Renault Duster launched with price tag of Rs. 8.46 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi)
After unveiling during Indian Auto Expo 2016, Renault India the Indian arm of French car maker Renault Motors has launched refreshed version of its best selling vehicle Duster in Indian car market with starting price of Rs. 8.46 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Interestingly the refreshed Duster has undergone 32 cosmetic updates on both exteriors and interiors following the highly awaited update of integrating six speed Easy R AMT (Automated Manual Transmission system) making Duster the first diesel vehicle in its segment adorning this type of transmission system. Developed on new CMO10 and T4 E&E platform the new Duster has been developed to offer additional safety to occupants along with smooth driving and handling experience to driver.
The heart of compact SUV Duster continues existing 1.5 litre K9K DCi diesel engine boosting the power of 108 bhp and torque of 245Nm at 4000 rpm and 1750 rpm respectively. But this time along with existing six speed manual gear transmission system, car maker has introduced new six speed Easy-RMAT transmission system. The automatic transmission system deliver fuel efficiency of ARAI certified 19.6 kmpl whereas the manual gear transmission system delivers an average of 19.72 kmpl.
On the exterior it receives refreshed front fascia comprising of twin plated chrome garnished front grille, hawk eyed headlamps along with newly developed fog lamps giving Duster completely a new appearance. The side profile has been upgraded with 16 inch gunmetal garnished alloy wheels followed by refreshed LED tail lamps. Apart from these features the vehicle embellishes electronic ORVMs with mounted turn indicators, Kayak roof rails and also color option of Cayenne orange color paint. Inside the cabin it receives rear view camera, power window with anti pinch, newly designed centre console, and refreshed media navigation. On the safety front it adorns features like ABS+EBD with brake assist system, hill start assist, dual front air bags and ESP.
Bookings of AMT Duster has been commenced by its dealers across the country, followed by facility of getting it booked by downloading Renault Duster App from Google playstore.
