AMT Toyota Innova Crysta lures more than 50% of buyers
The charisma of Toyota Innova Crysta continues to lure buyers since its launch in Indian car market almost three months back. According to reports received from Toyota Kirlosakr Motors (TKM) the Indian division of Japanese car maker Toyota Motors, it has so far received 30,000 bookings for MPV and has delivered 7,765 units till last month. At present the MPV has waiting period of mere three months, with more than half of enthusiasts preferring for its automatic transmission system. To meet the growing demand of MPV in Indian car market and to minimize the duration of its waiting period company has enhanced its production capacity to 7,800 units per month.

The craze of Indian buyers towards Crysta could be witnessed from the fact that within the short span of time Toyota launched the petrol variant of Crysta in Indian car market. Today the MPV is offered with three engine options of 2.7 litre Dual VVT-i petrol engine followed by 2.4 litre and 2.8 litre in diesel variants. The transmission system includes five speed manual gearbox and six speed automatic gearbox. Interestingly this time automatic transmission system has been offered in both variants in Gx and Zx trims whereas manual gearbox is offered in Zx, Vx, Gx and G trims.

Revealing company’s future action plan, Mr. N. Raja, Senior Vice President and Directors Sales & Marketing Toyota Kirloskar Motors said, "that there has been dynamic shift in preferences of buyers and from the bookings received for Innova Crysta 50% of bookings have been for automatic transmission system. Moving ahead Mr. Raja also informed that from the orders booked for Innova Crysta 95 percent of buyers are casual buyers rather than taxi or travel operators."
