Aska A5 Is The First Electric Flying Car To Run On Public Roads

Finally, the concept of the flying car has come true. With many companies across the world working on bringing the flying car, Aska A5 has become the first flying car to run on roads. The aerodynamic four-seater car is a fly eVTOL car that can fly eVTOL which means it can take off and land vertically. It is the first electric flying car to receive a license to drive on the road by the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), United States of America. According to the sources of the company, the flying car has already travelled more than 480 kilometres while undergoing a test drive across Silicon with the number plate issued by DMV.

Commenting on this achievement, Maki Kaplinsk, Chair and COO, of Aska, said, "Being the first electric flying car developer to be successfully conducting driving tests on local roads in California validates our efforts to develop an eVTOL that is roadable and with an emphasis on safety”. Speaking about the features the car rules both the road and the sky. While driving on the road, it can take the shape of an SUV when turned to eVTOL, offering clear visibility to the driver. When moving on the flying mode, it offers appropriate ground clearance for short takeoffs and landings with STOL mode on.

It can fly up to 250 miles on a single charge. It has also received the Certificate of Authorization and Special Airworthiness Certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This certificate however doesn’t allow for the sale of this car, it is more like a green signal for the testing and development of such aircraft. It is reported that the company has almost received 60 orders for this car, resulting in the pre-sales of $50 million.
