Assembling of Audi Q3 parts begins in India
German auto giant Audi has finally started the production of Audi Q3 at its assembling plant located at Aurangabad. It is reported that the production of Audi Q3 will take place at Audi’s recently constructed unit located at Skoda Auto India Private Limited Aurangabad having an area of 20,000 square meters. After Audi A4, A6, Audi Q5 and Audi Q7, Audi Q3 is the third model from Audi that will be assembled in India. Assembling of Audi Q3’s part in India is an indication that Audi will launch this compact SUV at lesser price that its contenders.
In the words Mr. Joe King, Head of Audi India, said that by assembling parts of Audi Q3 in India is an indication that Audi has started manufacture of its Q series models in India. As an impact of this not only the waiting period for Audi will shorten but customers will be offered various options of Audi available in market. Mr. King also said that this shift from Audi reflects company’s confidence regarding the success of Q series of vehicles in India. He also added that company is confident in sustaining its dominating position in SUV segment of luxury cars in India.
According to sources of company with an increasing demand of Audi Q3, Q5 and Q7 has played a significant role in strengthening company’s position in Indian market. According to statistical data revealed by company the sales witnessed an increased of about 19 percent this year during the period of eight months from January to August.
