Audi India registers 66.02 per cent jump in sales during November

The Indian unit of the Germany based leading luxury car maker Audi has registered a sales increase of 66.02 per cent during the month of November 2011. The total sales of the company stood at 425 units during the month as compared to 256 units the company managed to sell in the same month last year.

In the first 11 months of this year, (January to November), the company achieved to sell 5,117 units in the Indian market over 2,791 units sold last year in the corresponding time, registering a massive sales escalation of 83.34 per cent. According to the company, it has already achieved the sales target set for the year, while one month is still remainAudi India registers 66.02 per cent jump in sales during Novembering to the year.

Speaking on the company’s performance, Mr. Michael Perschke, head at Audi India, said that the firm’s outstanding performance during the first 11 months of this calendar year, gives an indication that Audi is well poised to end the year with strong sales figures, better than expected by the firm.

Audi is aiming to become the pinnacle luxury car assembler in the Indian market by year 2014, with launch of a series of ne cars and expansion of its dealership network. The company is currently the third largest luxury car maker in India following BMW at first and Mercedes Benz at second position.
