Audi India’s Effective Strategy To Cope With Lockdown
There could not be any best illustration to understand the phrase that "life changes in a minute" better than the ongoing situation amid COVID-19. The pandemic has restricted all the activities throughout the world, compelling people to stay safe at home retaining the social distancing. The existing situation has also at the same time given today’s generation an opportunity to accept the challenges and ways to cope with the real situations which they had never expected to happen in their lives. Although on papers it seems that life will be normal once the virus is dead, the ground root reality is that it will take time to restore the situation we left before the lockdown.
It would be quite difficult for the industries that were struggling with the slow sales to boost their sales in the post lockdown situation, especially the auto industry which for 18 months has been undergoing the trouble. Well, all this is written in the future, the need on which we need to focus today is coping with the existing situation in the best possible way, and therefore all the major carmakers are working on creative strategies that will not let them keep away from their existing and prospective customers. Following the same practice Audi India, the Indian alliance of German carmaker Audi Motors has also developed an effective strategy to combat the ongoing conditions. According to the company Head in the Indian office, the company is working on the following policy.

1. Safety: At present, the most important matter of concern is personal safety and the company is keeping this at the upfront of its future strategy. To provide complete safety to its customers, partners, and employees the company has issued guidelines to ensure that a disinfected work environment is retained at dealerships and the workshops.
2. Online: In the words of the Indian head, he is connected with his employees, colleagues, and partners through media channels and video calls, due to which it never lets them feel that they are away from work.
3. Being Wise and Smart: Ups and downs are phases of every business and it is the time when the level of your maturity is examined. It is the time when you need to assess your internal strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threat (SWOT) analysis and boost the business accordingly.
4. Strengthening The Network: In the current situation, the most important thing is to retain a healthy relationship with all the concerned persons including suppliers, business partners, and employees. It is important that there exists proper coordination between the entire network.
5. Looking For New Possibilities: The main objective of every business is profit. The situations like this call for redesigning the strategies and searching for new possibilities to boost the percentage of profit. This requires not only alternate methods for enhancing the business but also making effective use of the available resources. This can be witnessed from the profit earned by an initiative Audi: Approved Plus started to encourage the sale of pre-owned cars. This helped in increasing the business of the company by up to 11 percent in 2019.
Besides, these the German carmaker is working on various factors that help in the smooth functioning the company operations in the crucial situation.
