Indian car industry seems to be a touchstone for car makers. Audi launched its third Q Series SUV Audi Q3 in India recently and now reports are abuzz that it is launched in Malaysia as well. Unprecedented success is what Audi got for its Q3 SUV and all the 500 units scheduled for the first phase were sold in the first five days of its launch. The second phase bookings are open already and it seems it will be sold out soon. The basic proposition by Audi encouraging young entrepreneurs of India to opt Q3 as their first car and to ‘Start Young’ seems to have really worked.

The Rs 26 lakh SUV despite being costlier than its rival BMW X1 has fetched good response in India. In the eastern country, Audi Q3 price is in the range of RM 258k – RM 279k (equal to Rs 45 lakh to Rs 48 lakh in Indian currency). The Malaysian models of Q3 are similar to the Indian line up and are studded with Xenon headlamps, head outside rear view mirrors and six airbags besides cruise control and a lot of other features. Meanwhile, where Audi Q3 is creating sensation in India and Malaysia, Renault Duster launch tomorrow has really been anticipated as the most vital launch this year as it is going to transform the segment itself. Expected to have a start price of around Rs 7 lakh to Rs 8 lakh, the Duster SUV will have a lot of features that will be offered at much lesser price.
