Audi Q3 price increase, effective from October 1
This isn’t good but it has happened. The very own Audi Q3 has gone dearer by over Rs 30,000. This is a major price rise specially before the Diwali buying is about to start. The 1 to 2 percent increase in the price of Audi Q3 is following the degrading rupee value and the adverse market conditions. It is said that the decision to increase the price of its second best selling car was not easy for Audi and it was after much thought and series of assessment and reassessment that the price of the smallest in the series Audi SUV has been increased. The new prices will be effective October 1. Notably, the prices of the Audi 2.0 TDi variants have been increased. The Audi Q3 price in India starts at Rs 26.21 lakh and goes upto Rs 31.49 lakh for the high grade model.

The Q3 has become the best selling car by Audi after the Audi A4 and Audi A6 sedans and it is expected that the German car maker will be able to achieve its target of selling 8000 units this year. As per sources, the car maker is very close to this target and the Diwali car buying could exceed the number initially though by the car maker. It is also believed that the Q3 price rise is not going to hurt the sales in any way as this is a marginal increase and shelling out Rs 30,000 extra on a Rs 26 lakh car means near to nothing. Also, the features and power delivery of this car is unmatched and this has made this car to get much response in comparison to its rivals such as BMW X1, Renault Koleos, Hyundai Santa Fe and Mitsubishi Pajero.

The Audi Q3 along with A4 and A6 sedan have helped the car maker in getting the prestigious second largest luxury car maker title driving past Mercedes Benz. However, still the car maker falls short of the numbers that BMW is getting. It is believed that the car maker will be able to attain the required numbers once it launches more Audi cars in India.
