Audi Q3 Sport to be priced at Rs 24.99 lakhs!

At present, the Indian luxury car market is dominated by German Trio- Audi, Mercedes Benz and BMW. All these car makers offer entry level luxury to super luxury cars to the Indian customers. But now, all these companies are moving to offer affordable premium cars to the domestic customers. It is announced that Audi India will launch a locally assembled cheaper or price cut Audi Q3 in which is expected to be priced at Rs 24.99 lakh.

Currently, the Q3 crossover is being offered to the Indian customers as a CBU (Completely build Unit) unit. Now the company has started the locally assembling of the best selling corossover and will be launched next month. The price cut variant of the vehicle will be available as a CKD (Completely Knocked Down) unit and it will be assembled at Audi’s assembly plant in Aurangabad, Maharashtra.

India assembled Audi Q3 Sport will be made available in a single engine option, a 2.0-liter TDI diesel engine that would generates max power of 140 Bhp and peak torque of 320 Nm just like Audi A4 sedan. The engine will be mated to a 6 speed manual gearbox. The locally assembled Q3 sport will come without DRL (Day time running lights), Bi-Xenon headlamps and sunroof. Meanwhile, Satellite navigation and reverse parking camera will be replaced by reverse parking sensors. It will be a major rival of newly launched premium cars like Mercedes Benz A Class, Volvo V40 Cross Country and upcoming Mercedes GLA Class and BMW 1 Series.
