Audi reveals the showcase strategies for 2012 Auto Expo
The upcoming 2012 Auto Expo is the Asia’s biggest automotive event that heated-up the market with various sensational news and rumours. At this final stage, excitement is at threshold level when automakers are revealing their showcase plans and strategies.
The German luxury car maker, Audi has announced to showcase two brand new cars including Audi Q3 (sport utility car) and Audi S6 (sedan) along with Audi A3 e-torn concept, Audi R8 Spyder, Audi RS5 and Audi A6. Audi Q3 one of the compact and economical cars offered by the company. It will face the tough competition against BMW X1, Hyundai Santa Fe, Honda CR-V, Toyota Fortuner, Renault Koleos and Mitsubishi Pajero SFX.

Audi Q3 will be available in both petrol and diesel engine options. As per the expert’s speculations, due to the shift in buyer’s preferences its diesel variant is most expected for the Indian market. Its petrol & diesel variants will come powered with a 2 litre 214PS four cylinder turbocharged petrol unit and 179PS TDI diesel unit respectively.

The Audi S6 Sedan is the luxury car that will be graced with 4.0 litre twin-turbo V8 engine churning a peak power of 414bhp. Its acceleration will be pretty impressive (100kmph in just 5 seconds). Besides this, the new Audi A3 e-tron electric hybrid car is an innovative edition to Audi’s family. It will be unified with a 1.4 litre 211bhp TFSI engine and a 27 PS electric motor.

This electric motor will be powered by the efficient lithium ion batteries. There will be a seven speed dual clutch S tronic transmission. The offered top speed of 232 kmph and acceleration will make a destination. Earlier, it has been introduced at the Shanghai Motor Show in 2011. Whereas, the Audi R8 Spyder will come equipped with 5.2 litre V10 engine.
