Audi S6 launch in April, new RS5 launch to follow
Audi could soon be spearheading the luxury car segment in India. This is what the early projections suggest. The reason is its line of new cars in India this year and next year. It is believed that this German car maker will dethrone its German opponent BMW sometime in 2015. As part of the Audi car launches in 2013, the car maker will be launching the high performance version Audi S6 along with the new Audi RS5 besides others. Where the S6 sedan is expected this April, the RS5 could also be launched post that. Both these cars have the potential to fetch very good numbers and launching new models is part of the strategy to become the top shot car maker in the luxury car segment.

The S6 is the high performance variant or say the more powerful version of Audi A6 sedan that is one of the best selling Audi cars in India. Where the A6 is assembled in the country, the S6 will be imported as is. As per the information, this is the most powerful version of the A6 sedan sold worldwide the German car maker and its entry in India will revitalize the segment. Powered by 4 Litre TFSi petrol engine that has eight valves and with peak power output if 420 PS, the S6 is really a power plant. The 7 speed dual clutch, S-Tronic gearbox takes the power to the wheels. As the gearshifts can also be made using the controls on the steering expect some really fast under 8 seconds acceleration from 0 kmph to 100 kmph on this car.
Meanwhile, the new Audi RS5 is all set to get a facelift. It will also be imported as completely built unit and is all set to unveil its subtle design changes. The power plant remains the same while there will be a lot of design and equipment additions on the car.
