Audi To Update E-Tron SUVs With A Powerful Battery Pack
he German carmaker Audi is going to upgrade the e-tron and e-tron Sportback electric SUVs with subtle changes and a powerful battery pack. According to reports, both electronic SUVs will receive a new front grille design. Along with this, both SUVs will also get new front and rear bumpers along with newly designed alloy wheels.

The reports also reveal that both SUVs will also get a more powerful electronic motor followed by a refreshed electronic system. The upgraded electronic system will help in the recuperation of energy. Commenting on the battery performance, the sources of the company have claimed that the new battery pack in the e-tron and e-tron Sportback will deliver an average of 600 km on a single charge. In the words of one of the company officials, “They will both be significantly upgraded with a number of technical updates that will further increase their competitiveness.” The official also added that “the Q6 e-tron will compete in a different market segment to the e-tron and e-tron Sportback”. The official added that “it’s smaller – roughly the size of the [conventionally-powered] Q5. However, the dedicated platform will allow it to offer interior and load-carrying space similar to today’s Q7”.
Recently the German carmaker launched the Q6 e-tron in the market. It will be available in both SUV and coupe versions. The Q6 e-tron is based on a Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture developed by Audi and Porsche. The facelift e-tron and e-tron Sportback will be developed on the upgraded MLB platform from Audi. It is speculated that after its launch in the international market, both the facelift versions will be launched in the Indian car market sometime during the next year.
