Auto Expo 2012: Expect the unexpected, 50 launches and unveils slated

Year 2012 is sure to leave a mark in the history of car industry as in its onset it will host the said to be shrine of Indian auto industry - Auto Expo 2012. Here, it will be like, expectations will take wings as companies from over twenty four countries will display their existing, upcoming and research products along with the latest technology that can really shape the future of auto industry. The Auto Expo 2012 will also witness over 50 launches and unveils.

The event will kick off on January 6, 2012 at Pragati Maidan New Delhi and will be none less than a pilgrimage for auto enthusiasts. Amidst much fanfare and enthusiasm, the Auto Expo will be battleground for over 1500 domestic as well international companies that will be displaying their cars and products to woo Indian car buyers.

Claimed to secure its place at the second pedestal among world’s largest auto shows; Shanghai being the largest, India Auto Expo 2012 will receive the presence of national and international auto enthusiasts, press and tourists. Over 24 domestic car companies and 8 international carmakers will unveil their best makes at this biennial event. Besides, eight two wheelers will also be unveiled on the occasion. In all, there will be 50 new automobiles that will debut in India apart from showcase of India specific products from automakers.

As per reports, the Auto Expo based on the “Mobility for All” theme will witness a strong participation of automakers from China and Germany besides other countries.

In order to make the visit a pleasant experience, the overall visitor limit has been set to one lakh persons including 70,000 public visitors on a given day. The show is being jointly hosted by Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
