Auto sales statistics of major companies during the month of September 2013
In current scenario when every leading car manufacturing company Hyundai, Tata, M&M and General Motors are witnessing decline in their sales due to regular hike in fuel prices at jet dynamic speed and declining value of rupee, on the contrary leading car manufacturing company Maruti Suzuki India Limited has surprisingly witnessed increase in its sales. This fact is disclosed in sales statistics revealed by all major auto making companies for the month of September. Although like MSIL, Toyota Motors and Ford Motors have also recorded increase in their sales, but their sales as compared to MSIL is far behind.
According to sources of MSIL company has witnessed an increase of 11.7 % in its sales by selling 104964 units. It would be interested to know that the major role in increase of its sales has been its exports which counted to 14565 units exported. As far as the sale in local market is concerned it is witnessed to increase by 1.8% during the same period.
On the other side company’s strong contender HMIL has recorded decline of 4% in its sales during month of September as it sold out 51418 units of cars. Commenting on decline in sales Mr. Rakesh Srivastava Senior Vice President, HMIL said sustaining regular growth is a big challenge for companies in current scenario.
The reports revealed by another major auto making company Mahindra and Mahindra are not encouraging, according to reports company recorded decline of 10% in sale of SUV by selling 43289 units during the period, like decline in sales of domestic market company also recorded decline of 12% in its exports.
Where all major companies are recording decline in their sales, companies like Toyota, and Ford Motors have good reason to smile. The sales of Toyota Kirlosakar witnessed an increase of 9% by selling 15795 units whereas sales of Ford India increased by 51% selling 14217 units.
Some discouraging sales reports have also been received from country grown car manufacturing company Tata Motors which recorded an overall decline of 34% in its sales by selling 50427. The domestic sales decline by 35% whereas exports decline by 19%.
