Bangkok International Motor Show: Compact car CELERIO showcased by Suzuki
Suzuki Motors (Thailand) Co, Ltd, (SMT) the Thailand subsidiary of Japanese auto giant Suzuki Motors showcased its new compact car CELERIO during the ongoing Bangkok International Motor Show yesterday. According to sources of company the new compact car CELERIO which has been designed for global market and developed on company’s A: Wind concept platform which was showcased during the Thailand International Motor Show organized last in November. The new CELERIO has been developed with various interesting changes offered in exterior and interiors of the compact car which are not offered in A:Wind concept car.
The new compact car CELERIO car will be equipped with 1.0L engine delivering an average of 5L/100 Km, which is an important figure to be achieved by cars in Thailand, meeting government norms of eco friendly vehicles. Apart from this it will be offered with newly generated five speed manual transmission system and also with CVT blessed automatic transmission system.
It would be important to mention that Suzuki is already producing the eco friendly version of its hatchback Swift in Thailand since March 2012. The production of eco friendly company car CELERIO is reported to commence from May 2014 and will be second eco friendly car by company after Swift. With this company also speculates to soon start the production of CELERIO for European car market and launch it by the end of this year.
