Beijing Motor Show 2014: Boxster and Cayman in GTS version launched by Porsche

Porsche the German company has launched GTS version of Boxster and Cayman during the ongoing Beijing Motor Show 2014. GTS which refers for Grand Turismo Sport is an advanced version of existing Boxster and Cayman.  Addressing the launching event of both cars Mr. Matthias Muller, Porsche Board Chairman said, that both these cars have been the centre point of Porsche’s recognition they are corner stone of company on which company develop its upcoming products. He also added that with these new sports cars company is reverting back to its roots.
 
Under the hood Boxster GTS is empowered with 3.4 litre engine churning the power of 325 bhp at 6,70 rpm and torque of 370Nm, while the Cayman GTS equipped with same engine configuration generates the power of 335 bhp and torque of 380 Nm. With top speed of 278 kmph Boxster is capable of achieving speed of 100 kmph from zero in the span of 4.7 seconds while its other sibling Cayman generates the same speed within the span of 4.6 seconds with top speed of 283 kmph.
 
Both these cars are blessed with Porsche Active Safety Management and Sports Chrono Package system.  The major features offered in both GTS includes 20-inch alloy wheels, black inserts on front bumper, black chrome dual exhaust pipes and bi-xenon headlights. In UK car market they will offered with price tag of 52,879 GBP (Rs 54 lakh) for Boxster GTS and 55,397 GBP (Rs 56.5 lakh) for Cayman GTS.
