Beijing Motor Show 2016: Mazda reveals CX-4 Crossover
Japanese car maker Mazda has unveiled Mazda CX-4 Crossover during the first day of ongoing Beijing Motor Show 2016. The Crossover showcased during the show is the production version of Koeru concept that was showcased by car maker last year at Frankfurt Auto Show. At first instance CX-4 seems looks more dynamic and aggressive than compared to CX-5 on the platform of which it is developed.
Under the skin it offer two engine options of 2.0 litre I-4 and 2.5 litre representing Skyactiv-G family of car maker. The former engine configuration is tuned to generate the power between 146 and 155 hp followed by torque of 150 lb-ft, whereas the later is designed to boost the power of 184 hp and torque of 185 lb-ft. The unit of CX-4 offered with 2.0 litre engine is coated with six speed manual gear transmission system while the trim with 2.5 litre engine is mated with six speed automatic transmission system. The 17 inch alloy wheel and 19 inch alloy wheels are offered in both these units respectively.
Compared to its inspired model CX-5 the 2017 Mazda CX-4 is lengthier, stylish and wider. The impressive feature of this crossover is low roofline which gives it side profile a coupe looking touch at first instance. Alike its predecessors CX-5 and Cx-9 the CX-4 crossover will be offered with all wheel drive option. According to reports after launch in Chinese car market,it is not yet clear that whether the crossover will be launched in global market or not.
