BMW 1 Series sedan images appear, launch next year
The latest development in the car market is that the three door/five door hatchback BMW 1 Series is coming up in a sedan avatar as well. As per the information available, the 1 Series sedan’s rear images have rocked the car portals and it is expected that the Mercedes Benz CLA Class and Audi A3 is soon to have its prominent rival. Expected to have a launch price of around Rs 20 lakh, the 1 Series sedan is expected to land in India next year. The 1 Series launch in India will also help the German car maker retain its top position in the luxury car market.

However, it will be a first come first advantage game between BMW and Audi as the latter is expected to launch the A3 sedan early next year ahead of the 1 Series sedan. Besides both Audi and BMW have almost similar brand value and trust in the country and people look to BMW and Audi as prominent luxury car makers. The upcoming BMW sedan will be creating much abuzz in the Indian market as following availability of ready cash and the increase in financial capacity as well as passion for luxury, the demand for luxury cars has increased in the last couple of years.

It is also believed that the 1 Series sedan will be followed by the 5 door hatchback and later the Sports Tourer model could also arrive in India. The four door BMW sedan is also expected to take a decent price tag compared to the 1 Series hatchback. Besides, the BMW 3 Series, 5 Series and 7 Series sedans are also doing well in the ultra premium sedan segment along with the BMW M5 sedan. With the 1 Series sedan positioned in the Rs 20 lakh price band it is expected that BMW will be able to sell in decent numbers.
