BMW Active Hybrid 7 launched in Indian car market
After the long wait of almost 5 years, since it unveil at Frankfurt Motor Show 2009,German luxurious car maker BMW has launched the Active Hybrid 7 in Indian car market with starting price of Rs. 1.35 crore (ex-showroom price). The car would be brought in Indian car market through CBU and is now available for delivery at company’s dealers located at Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi NCR. Apart from being the most fuel efficient luxurious saloon sedan the Active Hybrid ensures emission free and electronic driving system.
The saloon is empowered with Twin Power Turbo six-cylinder in-line petrol engine generating the power of 320 horsepower and torque of 450Nm. An interesting feature of Hybrid 7 is that despite of being heavy weight engine the saloon sedan generates the speed from standstill to 100 kmph within the span of 5.7 seconds and the top speed of 250 kmph. The engine is mated with ZF eigth-speed Steptronic gearbox.
The major features adorned in Active Hybrid includes Nappa leather upholstery, folding tables, massage function for the rear passengers, automatic tail gate opener, and many more. The exteriors of this saloon sedan are blessed with new adaptive LED headlights, chrome accents, new enlarged air inlets, 19 inch rims followed by badge of Active Hybrid at the rear portion. It has been launched in fascinating alpine white, sapphire black, glacier silver, Milano beige, imperial blue brilliant, sophito grey, cashmere silver and mineral white colors.
