BMW launches 520d M Sport in Indian car market, priced Rs. 54 lakh
German car luxurious car maker BMW has launched 520d M Sport with starting price of Rs. 54 lakh (ex-showroom price throughout the country) in Indian car market. The 520d M Sport is endorsed to be literally the cheaper trim of 5 Series M Sport and bestows the features that were earlier offered in top trim of 530d M Sport.
Developed at company’s production unit located in Chennai, the 520d M Sport empowers the 2.0 litre, 190 hp, twin turbo diesel engine outsourced from 520d and mated with eight speed automatic gearbox. It is claimed to reach the mark of 100 kmph in the span of 7.7 seconds followed by top notch of 233 kmph.
The standard features offered in this new luxurious sedan are side skirts, 18 inch M light alloys with double spoke design, LED headlights, M badge mounted on the front side wings and also on door sill strip. Inside the cabin it adorns electronic adjustable sports front seats, aluminum hexagon interior trim, four driving modes including ECO, PRO, COMFORT and SPORT), auto start-stop, multifunctional instrument panel, navigation system with 3D maps (integrated with Global Positioning System) Park Distance Control, rear view camera, and many more.
On the front of safety features it adorns anti lock braking system, six airbags, cornering brake control, side impact protection, dynamic traction control, electronic vehicle immobilizer, crash sensor, and emergency spare wheel, hill descent control, emergency spare wheel and six airbags.
