BMW launches locally assembled 3 Series GT in Indian car marke

After launching BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo in the recent Indian Auto Expo held last month, German luxurious car maker BMW has retained on its words of launching the saloon sedan in Indian car market today with starting price of Rs.42.75 lakh(all India ex-showroom). An interesting feature of Gran Turismo that all its parts are locally assembled at company’s production plant located Mahindra World City plant based in Sinaperumal Koil, Chennai.
 
The model of Gran Turismo launched in Indian car market is 320D which sports 2.0 litre inline six engine churning the power of 184bhp and torque of 380 Nm. The engine is coated with ZF 8 speed automatic gearbox. Gran Turismo also known as GT houses wheelbase of 110mm followed by an overall length of 200 which quite higher than the existing models of BMW cars in Indian car market.
 
Another impressive feature of GT is coupe designed roof line followed by large bootlid making it larger than its elder siblings. Apart from length it is reported that the height of GT is 81mm, which again is higher than its siblings.
